CEDAR CHESTS

Do you have a Cedar Chest that needs to be refurbished?

Cedar Chests, also known as hope chests, date back to the early 1800’s when they were brought to America by waves of European immigrants.   They have a rich and fascinating history.   The chest itself was often made of cedar.   At that time, cedar was an easy-access material for furniture manufacturers and a popular choice for storage thanks to its naturally fresh, long-lasting fragrance. (Tip: Clothes stored in a cedar chest or dresser smell so good!).

Cedar Chests are great for storing linens, clothing, blankets, off-season clothes, family heirlooms and mementos, albums or photographs, and letters or treasured objects passed down through the generations.
